Fried Peanut Butter And Banana Sandwich

Here is ‘THE” Elvis Presley sandwich! Now I know its horribly unhealthy and fattening etc….but hey trust me you HAVE to taste this sandwich at-least once! I am not suggesting you eat it everyday or even every month! But it definitely is worth the extra hour in the gym or an extra few miles run in the morning!

2 slices white bread
2 tbsp creamy peanut butter (and not that reduced fat stuff)
1 ripe banana
2 tbsp butter

Toast the bread slightly and cool.  Spread the PB on one slice, but don’t bring the PB up to the edge of the bread. It will run a bit when its heated in the skillet. Slice or mash the banana and put it on the other slice of bread. I usually slice the bananas.

Put the bread slices together to form a sandwich. Heat a skillet and add a bit of the butter and fry the sandwich until each side is browned. Serve hot.

Every bite of this sandwich is just plain ecstasy!

  1. Wow! Gonna try this tomorrow for Sunday Breakfast.
    Of late I have realized there is no substitute for butter.

    Today morning I tried the White Kurma as I happened to have half a pack of Velayappams in the Freezer. (It has been there for quite a while now as I didn’t know how to cook something that will go with it.) It turned out to be a finger licking experience.
